What’s for dinner tonight…..
I haven’t made meatloaf in a very long time. I am not even sure why? It used to be a family staple that we all
really enjoyed. And I can’t figure out
how it made it’s way out of the Deyo family repertoire. I suppose what’s important is that it made
its way back onto our dinner table tonight.
Everyone has a famous meatloaf recipe, here’s mine:
Ingredients:
1 egg
¾ cup milk
½ cup seasoned breadcrumbs
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. garlic powder
1 tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
1 pound ground beef
2/3 cup ketchup
¼ cup brown sugar
1 ½ tsp. spicy brown mustard
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a large bowl, combine the egg, milk, breadcrumbs, salt, garlic powder and parsley.. Add the ground beef, mixing well, and form this mixture into eight miniature meatloaves. Place these on a baking sheet.
- In a separate small bowl, combine the ketchup, brown sugar and mustard. Stir thoroughly and spread over each meatloaf.
- Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for
45 minutes
