Do you know there are over 7500 varieties of apples? We spent the day at Cook n Craft Academy by learning about different types of apples. We tasted 3 different kinds of apples (golden delicious, granny smith and red delicious). We then made homemade pie dough as well as apple handpies. They were delicious. We also learned to make apple butter. After lunch and a short recess we made wonderful picture frames featuring...you guessed it ...an apple. We ended the day with a fun story about the class in a story/game called PASS THE APPLE. Of course no visit to Cook n Craft is ever complete without a visit to our candy jars too!
