Summer is upon us so we welcomed the start of this wonderful warm season with a beautiful flip flop wreath. Our day campers carefully chose the color flip flops they wanted, then planned out their particular design and started their project. When finished attaching the flip flops to the wreath they embellished their beautiful works of art with flowers and bows. What a great job!!!! We also made lunch. A delicious chicken basil pesto pasta salad (say that three times fast lol) along with sautéed veggies (zucchini and mushrooms)---which some of our day campers had never tried before and were convinced they wouldn't like....but after tasting declared it tasted like BACON!!!! We also baked an orange zested pound cake which we diced for our strawberry trifle. It was a fun and delicious day. Here's some of our fave photos from the day.
