Cook and Grab a cat Academy....

We love technology.   Just thinking about how advanced we are from the time I was a kid until now, we've come a long way.  Of course when I was growing up if I wanted to play with the neighborhood kids, we didn't call, text or email.  No, we knocked on doors, often unannounced to see if Susan or Lawrence could come outside and play.    There's something wonderful about those technology free years, when playing outside til dark was good clean fun.  Going out to dinner was a special treat, and we all talked to one another....we didn't stare and play with our phones.  Don't get me wrong, technology is a wonderful thing, and the advances that have been made are life saving in many cases.   It's just that life seemed so simple and carefree and not as complicated.  My teenage daughter actually said to me, "Mom you're so lucky you didn't have phones when you were a teenager."  I asked her why and she said, "well if a boy likes you, he would actually have to ask you out in person.  Today guys send text messages and sometimes you don't know how to read them.  Are they serious?  Are they joking around and messing with you?"  I couldn't believe that she actually felt that way.  But I think alot of us who grew up without cell phones, and computers often long and wish for that technology free age.   It's our hope at Cook n Craft Academy that we bring back that simpler time, even if it's just for a few hours.  It's time to get back to some good clean fun, crafting, and or cooking.  Spending time with friends and family and making memories.  That is our goal.  And so now just what is Cook and Grab a Cat Academy?  Well that's what made me think to write this post.  My phone's voicemail actually can take messages and send them via text!  And while we've come along way baby...not so far enough.  They translated the message inquiring about Cook n Craft Academy to Cook and Grab a Cat Academy.  So if your phone does the same as mine, and translates voicemails to text....be careful if you get any messages from us--saying we're calling from Cook and Grab a Cat Academy.;..and if you do, you'll know what they mean!!!!!
